Default I am so glad that I found this forum!

Hello all, and thank you for having a forum like this. Sometimes I feel like I don't have anywhere to turn. My son Nico, who is 10, was diagnosed last year with a brain tumor. It was the size of a baseball, wrapped around his brain stem. The tumor was benign, and in 2 surgeries (occipital and temporal craniotomies) it was removed. He was in the hospital for 23 days. During that time he ended up having a subdural hematoma, caused by the surgeries and was given a VP Shunt. So far every MRI has been good, and no sign of any residual tumor. We are coming up on a year. The problem that we are having is that the poor guy has headaches, every day. They have gotten better as far as intensity, but most days he has a headache over his eye. Every day. I met with his neurologist and he says that he sees no reasons for him to have any headaches. I just feel so helpless because I HATE giving him Tylenol or Motrin everyday. He also has not gained back any weight that he lost when he was in the hospital. His appetite is very minimal. We eat organic food, we give him a great multi-vitamin, and we also advocate lots of water, that he drinks very little of. He is also very pale. Does anyone else go through this, with their kids or with themselves. I just don't know how to help him. If anyone has any suggestions or comments, please please please let me know.
