Confused VP Shunt tubing cause ovarian pain???

I have spina bifida and hydrocephalus I had a vp shunt placed when I was about a week old, I never had a revision until this past January, right before I turned 28. I was in the hospital for something unrelated but was having headaches a great deal while in the hospital so a neurosurgeon came to see me and decided to do a revision. I've had a very very difficult time recovering and even now months later I have a lot of pain and very very little energy. Since the surgery I've had a lot of abdominal pain as well as pain when ever I poop or need to poop.
I've always had some issues with my periods being painful and I often have pain in my ovaries when I ovulate, but have not been diagnosed with endrometriosis even though I was diagnosed as having rather large cysts.
Since my surgery I have had some pretty severe pain in my ovaries from time to time. Starting last night I have a sharp pain in my right ovary whenever I move and sometimes even when I breathe, it seems that the pain has gotten far worse and far more frequent since the surgery but all my neuro will say is "call your gp" and "that isn't something that happens with this type of surgery" so I'm wondering if any other women with a vp shunt have had the tube rub against their ovaries and cause pain or even cause cysts to form.
