Firegirl,
No. 1 in your list works for me. When my feet ankles are burning at their worst, it might take a bit longer. I just about always fall asleep after applying it because I no doubt have taken a pain pill too. When I wake the burning is improved. The opiate pain pill alone doesn't have an affect on the burning fire on my skin. Helps too if you keep the lotion in a cool place.
