Did this when I was a teenager. At the time, I had a wee bit of sleep apnea if I slept on my back and I would twitch violently every so often to prevent myself from going into REM.

Now, however, I suspect my poor sleeping comes from some neuro damage from being without B12 for so long. I've got pernicious anemia (thusly the monthly injections) and right when I get one, I do sleep much better. When I'm at the end of the month (like I am now), I sleep...less better.
