Tashi,

There are many different types of nerve block injections given in dentistry.
I believe for mandibular teeth the Inferior Alveolar Block is given with the addition of the Buccal Nerve Block to cover the molars.

Depending on what lower tooth he extracted and the condition of the tooth and degree of infection ... I believe the OS could have given you an IA Block along with an Incisive Block as well as a Mental Block to anesthetize the facial aspect of the tooth.

It is best to review all of this with your dentist prior to having dental work done given your RSD condition.

I have RSD so this is important for me to make sure I get the right Block.

I had a lower extraction, and the oral surgeon used Marcaine, and no block.
So I am using homeopathic remedies, Ledum and Hypericam as well as a sinus block with 4% liquid lidocaine down the sinus cavity to the Vegus nerve.

I feel I need to be informed before anymore lower dental work.

Thank you, Nancy
