Default Melody, I have ....

NO CLUE! If I did, have a clue about all this stuff...I would share it with you all ALL! This is the stuff confusion is MADE OF!

Soo many variables affect tests...what meds you are on, your exercise, your initial condition....you name it...The meds thing has been my bug-aboo...some things up some values, others lower...still others change other #'s that affect how BUN is assesses...You really have to call all the 800#s adn ask vis-a vis each med...and they will tell you...have your doc call....97% docs dont' and it takes a LOT of staff time to call and get the answers...which probably wont get you any real answers that are useful.. I have been, done, and am going that route again.. it is frustrating..and I feel no more compulsion than to inform my docs.. IF the docs don't call, that goes in my own doc-rating check book..

Keep in mind you are in NYC...Others who are NO where near one -let alone several Top medical centers to get tests, opinions etc. Look at Billye [Silverlady] travelling thru ice storms and a week at the Mayo? A thousand miles? maybe? Not 30 miles more or less. [Texas to Rochester Mn is HOW far?]
Bun numbers or not, be assured that YOU and ALAN are far better cared for and looked after than many who post on these boards... Please count your blessings about haveing Dr Fred as Your Doc...most aren't as fortunate.

When others can find the apt BUN test sites they will post. But, I have to tell you they don't translate a THING to me! I have had FAR more than I wish to have had, and still am not enlightened! - j
