Hi Dolores,

Yes, I get cervicogenic headaches, migraines, and now that I review the definitions, I spose some of what I get are also cervicogenic migraines. Basically, it means migraines originating from disorders in the neck/cervical spine.

Have you tried any meds in the triptan class?

Triptans include sumatriptan (Imitrex, Imigran, Cinie, Illument, Migriptan), rizatriptan (Maxalt), naratriptan (Amerge, Naramig), zolmitriptan (Zomig), eletriptan (Relpax), almotriptan (Axert, Almogran), frovatriptan (Frova, Migard, Frovamig), and avitriptan (BMS-180,048).

Not all triptans are alike, and just because the first half dozen don't work doesn't necessarily mean that another won't. I have acceptable results with rizatriptan (Maxalt), which recently went generic.

If I can catch it early enough, I can also get relief from myofascial triggerpoint massage and/or other acupressure points. IMO, both are worth trying. Some folks also get results with accupuncture.

What is it you're not finding online? I find a lot of info via goggle.
cervicogenic migraine

There is also a headache forum here.
