Hi
Dolores,
Yes, I get cervicogenic headaches, migraines, and now that I review the definitions, I spose some of what I get are also cervicogenic migraines. Basically, it means migraines originating from disorders in the neck/cervical spine.
Have you tried any meds in the triptan class?
Quote:
Triptans include sumatriptan (Imitrex, Imigran, Cinie, Illument, Migriptan), rizatriptan (Maxalt), naratriptan (Amerge, Naramig), zolmitriptan (Zomig), eletriptan (Relpax), almotriptan (Axert, Almogran), frovatriptan (Frova, Migard, Frovamig), and avitriptan (BMS-180,048).

Not all triptans are alike, and just because the first half dozen don't work doesn't necessarily mean that another won't. I have acceptable results with rizatriptan (Maxalt), which recently went generic.
If I can catch it early enough, I can also get relief from
myofascial triggerpoint massage and/or other
acupressure points. IMO, both are worth trying. Some folks also get results with accupuncture.
What is it you're not finding online? I find a lot of info via goggle.
