Krill oil is better absorbed. So you need less. It has to do with
the phospholipids in the product which enable absorption.

It will act in the body the same way, EPA and DHA are in it also.

We switched to Krill oil about 2 yrs ago. At Costco the cost is much less than retail pharmacies. Amazon also has competitive prices.
