Greany, could you go to a different oral surgeon or dentist for another opinion? It surely seems as though there is some type of infection brewing in there by the symptoms you are describing. It seems that if nothing is visible from the exam, your dentist or oral surgeon could order an MRI or cat scan to see what is going on in there.
