I live in VA (Blue Ridge Mountains) and the weather is all over the place here. The coast is humid and hot in the summer months as are most of the States on the east coast.

BUT, I work in Fort Lauderdale a week out of every month, and the weather in SOUTH Florida is wonderful. Its probably what you are looking for.

Hawaii is very nice too, mid-70's year round, but that may be too far away from MI.

Sunny weather just brings out motivation for a lot of folks. Maybe thats why so many people live in FL and CA.
