If that concerns you, baking soda with either lemon juice or white vinegar works much better, IMO (baking soda alone works well on silver). Vinegar and lemon juice are both much stronger acids than the carbonic acid (carbonated water) in Coke. At least the baking soda will neutralize the acid (probably the reaction that cleans the copper-containing alloys).
Coke is of
some utility in cleaning up brass, but IME, it's pretty worthless with bronze. Either way, it makes the Coke taste terrible...
