Hi I really feel for you, it must of a terrifying time. I can assure you that the symptoms you are experiencing are quite normal, if not scary. The same happens to me, just as you say.
It's important to rest As much as you can it will really make the difference and this means brain rest. No tv no computer etc.

It will improve but it will take time. Mine took about a year so it's slow going but we all heal differently.
Get as much help and support from friends and family if you can.
I wish you well, this is a good forum and you will get good advise from others
