Read this earlier. Good article and keeps the momentum up on pressuring the drug industry, and all other researchers, to open up their files and report all results, good or bad. The OSTP directive this past March that all federally funded research have open access to their data base (after one year) is a good start, but not enough. Seriously, if we, the public, fund the research, we should own it and have full access. However, its the pharmies that we really need to control. The total value of the global pharmaceutical market will be One Trillion dollars this year. That is happening off of the money we pay them every day to try and cure or control our illnesses. It's time that these companies are forced to be more responsive to our needs, properly report all of their research -successful or not, and open up the data bases.
