Hi En Bloc,
This could definitely be related to something autoimmune. Autoimmune issues run in my family. Based on some of the feedback from mrsD, I'm thinking I have a really bad case of Mono or some other viral type sickness (going to the DR today). I think the antibiotic along with the virus has produced some secondary issues. The worst one is this issue with my hands and feet. Is your issue in your mouth only or do you get it other places? How long does it take to clear up after you stop taking the antibiotic? Any info you can share would be great.

My throat and tonsils are a mess. My hands and feet are now also a a mess. It started out as burning sensation, moved to severe pins and needles and I am on day three and can still hardly walk. I do have some red bumps coming up as well on both hands and feet. Initially, I was not sure if this was toxicity to the antibiotic that caused nerve damage or something else. I have had nerve damage in the past when sick. 8 years ago I also got really sick and ended up with Bells Palsy, right side of my face paralyzed as the nerve had been damaged by the illness. I recovered quickly but it took about 4 weeks.

Now I may have something like Mono and my hands and feet are not paralyzed but something is seriously wrong. I don't know enough about NP, Parathesia or even the viral exanthem to understand what I might really be dealing with. There is not much out there on them that gives good information.
