“Camp Grandma” has come and gone and a good time (albeit exhausting) was had by all.

The first thing my girls did upon arrival was unpack their aprons with the expectation of baking a cake. So we did. There was only one mishap during the week; number one granddaughter took a tumble off her “Barbie” bike while riding down a hill in the neighborhood. Thankfully the only medical attention needed was soap, water, and a band-aid followed by a kiss and a hug! The “Barbie” bike did not survive the tumble.

I’ve begun to read the book UP and found a new possible addition to my summer reading list, Do You Believe in Magic? The Sense and Non-Sense of Alternative Medicine by Dr. Paul A. Offit, M.D.

My haiku the day my girls left:

Hands waving goodbye
While memories fill my heart,
Awaiting return
