Hi tnThomas,
I started having major heartburn ... I began sitting up to sleep, which helped dramatically.
The heartburn went away, I can't be exactly sure when, but I think that it began to lessen when I began to eat yogurt every day.
I got a yogurt maker, and ... make yogurt daily.
One reason I decided to make yogurt was its influence on h.pylori... basically, it sort of gets rid of it. h.pylori interferes with stomach acid production, so you'd think that would mean you'd have less or no heartburn if you have h.pylori... but, that doesn't seem to be the case. What infact you don't have is B12 and magnesium from food...
Years ago I used yogurt to get rid of asthma. Then I stopped eating it regularly.
Well, that's it for my ideas on the heartburn front...
If I were you, I'd try yogurt. The kind you make, I use probiotics as my starter, is full of good micro-organisms. I even did a web page on it when I found a particular micro-organism that appears to increase B12 content.
:-)
