It's a bit ironic that you mention B-12, I had been taking B-12 suppliments( these) up until a few months ago, primarily in hopes of aiding the periphral neuropathy affecting my feet. As I had taken the B-12 for a year but had not realized any improvement of the PN in my feet, was the reason for discontinuing.
I did 'feel' that the B-12 had provided some general benefit in my health, but I really did not have tangible evidence to point to.

Those Jarrow Methylcobalamin sublinguals are really good. I buy them from vitacost *edit*, they're MUCH cheaper.
PN is tricky. I had it so badly, SO badly. I won't describe because I'm sure you know.
Anyway, I got tetanus and finally had a prescription filled for injectable cobalamin, which I was still using at the time. The prescription was for enough cobalamin for a shot a day for a year. I hadn't filled it because I was sure it was a maths error on the part of the holistic M.D.
But, the tetanus was really scary and I didn't have the money for a doctor visit to get the antibiotic prescription because my tenants had burned out the boiler in my rental, the source of all my income at the time. I was still too young for social security.
So, I started having a B12 shot a day, and... to my HUGE surprise the PN went away.
Since then, up until I switched from GMO to Organic food, I was using about 5 to 6 of the 5mg sublinuals a day, to get the same effect as a B12 shot a day.
Point ~ You might try using more of the sublinguals. That's what did it for me ~ having more B12.
