I have had the flu vaccine every year for probably about 15 -20 years with no problems other than a slightly sore arm. I had to get a tetanus vaccine 3 years ago after cutting my hand and going to the ER. I also did not have any problems with it. I asked my neuro about the shingles vaccine and he said it "should" be fine since I am not on an immune suppressant. My pcp had recommended I get it. I think the CDC is not recommending it for everyone over 55. I am not sure if my insurance will cover it until I am 60. I have not pursued it.
