I would think if the stroke caused the part of the brain mentioned to be damaged, that it would show up on her MRI. Bring up RSD and the stroke to her doctor, and see if you can't get her some better pain control, and something to help her to sleep as well. Unrelenting pain is a horrible path to be on. I hope your visit can be productive to help her. I will keep your mom in my prayers. ginnie
