I have a gland on the left side of the neck that my doctor is watching.

It goes down within a couple of hours after I rub the mag lotion on it! Also my salivary gland on that side swells too. Goes down with the mag lotion too. (Morton's Epsom lotion--- topical magnesium --available at WalMart now...it is new).

Norovirus is mostly a GI virus.

So many glands swollen? Sounds more like Mono could be there too? There is a specific blood test called the MonoSpot, that can diagnose this. This virus used to be called "glandular fever", because of the numerous swollen glands. It can take months to heal, and medications don't really work on it.
