Panic attacks are a worsening of anxiety. Anxiety and stress, depending on the person can last a short time, days, weeks, months and yes, even years. Especially if left untreated.

No. I've never had an MRI. In my neuro's office they did give me that test ( drawing a blank on the name) where they hook electrodes up to your head to read your brain waves to look for unusual brainwave patterns. That came back normal and she said normally if there are tumors you may see changes in brain activity.
But id like an MRI eventually. Just to know.
What I did have was a 24 hour urine collection at the time from an endocrinologist when I was having that fight or flight response. that is when they said that nothing showed up in the urine to indicate a tumor. But thinking back I think it was more a pituitary tumor they were looking for and not brain.
