Yep - dropping things is one of my party tricks too, although I am not doing it as much recently (touch wood) - my last effort was a delightful glass of Shiraz on my new beige carpet (before you ask, it was for my husband not me, so that wasn't the reason).

My left hand just seems to release and I lost whatever I am holding - by the same account, when I have a fall, it usually seems that my left leg just folds and the rest of me follows. No rhyme or reason.
