Yep! I got that too!
I wasn't on it very long nor did I take real large doses (doc had me up to 55Mg/day) but I definitely noticed a marked increase in appetite AND a 17-pound increase in weight. No question in my mind had I continued to take it I would have continued to gain weight.
It was frustrating because it did help the pain but I literally could not handle the memory loss. I think I ended up asking one gal about upgrading her laptop 5 times. I finally had to apologize and explain I had been on a drug that was wiping my short-term memory.

Since I'm already posting here I'll give an update. I dropped Lyrica like a hot potato and almost immediately dropped 17 pounds...and my memory has dramatically improved over the past several weeks. It's still not what it used to be prior to Lyrica but it's better. Good timing because technology is taking massive leaps forward these days and I MUST have my memory/cognative functions as sharp as possible or I'll find myself w/o a job real quick.
If you're unsure about whether to take this or not PLEASE hear me: It's not worth it unless you do not care about these things. If you're a totally disabled person, living at home and a sharp memory isn't important then I do have to say that my pain has also returned with a vengeance. This drug DOES help (or it did me, anyway) with neuropathy - but the trade-off is very real to me and many others out here. I promise I am a real person and these are REAL events that happened to me. This drug is BAD NEWS.
