PamelaJune, I thought it was Gerry that sent the stretch exercises. I just revisited the page to review and saw it was you who posted. Many thanks and I will definitely follow thru.
While I understand the need not to overdo, I have the strong need to be very proactive at this juncture and I really want to get to the gym again. I don't feel any strain in my muscles though the burning is worse today. Usually it is a progressive thing throughout the day but I woke up with it pretty intense. I don't believe that is necessarily a bad thing though. I want to believe the nerves are regenerating and they may well be since the burning got so much worse since sober.
I have read thru this entire forum several times through the years and I will do so again to see if I can gain some more insight and suggestions going forward. I hope that in reading my old posts that I don't sound like a whiny witch.
Best wishes for a pain free day.

We've just got home from our holiday, you've cracked me up with your whiny witch statement! You do what's best for you SC, if you've done gym work before you'll have it covered. I write sometimes with explanation in event someone hasn't and I worry they will over do it, but SC, I think you've got it covered with your spirit and determination. Something Gerry touched on earlier. You may not see it in yourself, but we do. Go for it, just be safe and sensible

I just spent much of the day reading this entire thread. Ugh... my posts are sooooo annoying. How do you all put up with me?

Wide-O, I did not remember that you were on meds. I may need to try the route again. What are you taking?

Well; that's one block more than you had before.....; you didn't give up completely.....
Just did something different.

You must have been the only one that was annoyed....Maybe you don't realize; but you are making others feel your trust and desire to participate. That's what we do. You help us more than you realize.

I mentioned a few pages back that I started to do Yoga (via a youtube video) that is about 30 minutes long. I can do that in my own place and at my own pace.

Might be something to consider....

I completely understand the standing issues; can only do briefly then have to move; even if I sway one foot, then the other. Moving is a must; but walking for any amount of time is still difficult. Need cane if outside; in the house, I can always hold onto the wall or something nearby. But the need to keep ourselves moving is definitely a must!!!

Welcome home safely Pam.. Hope you and DB enjoyed celebrating your 25th as well as the warm weather. I know Australia can be pretty cool at this time of year so going to warmer ground, even if only for a short time, was definitely a plus.

Now who did the laser therapy? Was that PamelaJune or Gerry? How did that work out for you?
I just was shopping for an acupuncturist. I wondered how much they cost. I see one advertising for $85 and min of 6 sessions are needed. That is not in my budget just now but when I quit smoking maybe.
