Hello- I've been in alcoholism recovery now for seven years and have been subject to falling even prior to recovery. I've really injured myself, lots of fractures that are activity limiting.there are two diagnoses involved vestibular dysfunction and cerebellar atrophy. Has anyone had these diagnoses and have you been given any way to counteract these and the falls that occur? Anxious to hear any replies. Thanks for the input.

Welcome to NeuroTalk .
I have never experienced falling before or after my recovery from alcohol abuse. It might help if you got your doctor to refer you to a vestibular specialist and/or a neurologist; both should be able to help. Best wishes.

Daily regime of balance exercises, daily benfotiamine and NO alcohol for over 6.5 years has helped me quite a bit. |
