No Dorrie I have not tried it but I have heard from those that take it that it works quite well for them. The real problem I have been hearing is the sometimes truly horrible withdrawal symptoms that many have gone through. For some I have heard that it can take years to go away and for some they have been permanent. I am sure you will have no problem, sounds like you know what you are doing. Maybe you can cut your dose down even more as you go. I have heard of people taking slivers lol.

My mother is 62 and some moron psych doc sent her home with this scrip, soon as we got in the car I told her not to fill it. Not for a first psych med. Not at her age and with her health problems. She tried to tell him she was allergic to Paxil because it made her severely depressed when she took it but she neglected to tell him she was drinking while she was taking it lol.

Effexor w/d is a nightmare

This is the main reason why I joined this group - and I see this post is five years old. I am in agony with Effexor. I don't know how I'll ever get off this garbage. Been on it over a year and a half. Am on 150mg every day. If I don't take it, I get dizzy, nauseous, depressed (extremely), it's awful. Has anybody ever gotten off of this stuff? What was your experience like?
