Default Today's Gift

There is an organization called Hazelton that operates addiction treatment programs. They provide an on-line newsletter that IMHO, is very good. I don't have issues with substance abuse, but a friend of mine told me about how wonderful their newsletter was and so I started to subscribe. I have been enjoying them tremendously. The newsletter is called "Today's Gift."

Here is a link for those who might be interested:

Dorrie...I am glad you think you will like the newsletters. Usually, there is sa central theme and then a few paragraphs about it. For some reason, a few weeks ago, they sent out just some basic ideas from one of their books. All good thoughts to ponder, I think (see below):

Today's thoughts from Hazelden are:

Some people grumble because the roses have thorns instead of being grateful that the thorns have roses.

*****

We must learn from the mistakes of others because we won't live long enough to make them all ourselves.

*****

Don't look down on another person unless you are leaning over to help them up.

*****

What a different world this would be if people would magnify their blessings the way they do their troubles.

*****

The largest room in the world is the room for improvement.

*****

Winners - people who tell you what they did and not people who tell you what they think you ought to do.
