Hi dorrie It's SO good of you to know you're going to try again soon. All quitting takes is one successful try.
One thing that helped me when I KNEW I just HAD to have something moving from hand to mouth was holding a soda straw I had cut to about a 3" length. I "smoked"
that empty, plastic straw until the need calmed down.
I gained weight too and my doctors (I was seeing a bunch) all said it didn't matter ---- What mattered was me quitting and that the weight would go away. Very slowly the weight did start to drop off.
