Default Coffee causing big problems

I have drank coffee for many years...like the taste.
For the last several months, I've had increasing problems with having to go the bathroom immediately after drinking coffee.
It is getting worse and worse....it is at the point now where I can't even have a cup. If I want a cup...I have to take Immodium...so not worth it.
I'm actually a little concerned that this could be more than an allergy. Any thoughts?

Welcome to "old age"...

This happened to me too! I am now tea only.

Coffee can be very laxative. Some people drink it just for that purpose--and very strong too!

I'd call it an intolerance, not an allergy.
