Trophy Hpu Film About Artist Wins Award

HPU FILM ABOUT ARTIST WINS AWARD

A Hawai'i Pacific University student-produced film about ailing Hawai'i artist Peggy Chun has received an international award.

"Peggy With Love," produced by HPU assistant professor of communication Jacqueline Langley, HPU Communication Video Lab manager Mark Nitta and a team of HPU students, won a "Gold" Aurora Award.

Chun, a noted watercolor artist, is paralyzed by amyotrophic lateral sclerosis, also known as Lou Gehrig's Disease. The project explores how Chun confronts her terminal disease and her relationships with loved ones.
