As you know I've been working nearly a year in starting an eight person assisted living business. I posted the following post on PLM website. Would you be willing to post my post in other ALS forums? As I said in PLM forum, I am not seeking glory or stardom. I feel all PALS are ambassadors of ALS & we all should be working together to raise the awareness of ALS. I feel very positive about contacting Oprah in seeking her help. My business endeavor may or may not be the best approach to contact Oprah, but I see believe its a door opener giving her needs i.e.; "Paying it forward" upcoming show. I pray other PALS &CALS will feel the same way.

Maybe I'll become a laughing stock by posting this, but I really don't give a damn. Some of you know that I've been working on a project of opening up my own eight person assisted living business project. My story will be available to view sometime this week. Here's the website link: http://www.kake.com/ For those who would like to see my story click on the "Hatteberg's People icon to view it. Mr. Hatteberg emailed me yesterday saying my story should be able to view by Tuesday, but did say there's always a delay between the story being aired and it being placed in the online archive.

From time to time I check the Oprah website for upcoming shows. A few nights ago I checked her site and found "How are you paying it forward?" as an upcoming show. Also asked was, "And remember to videotape yourself paying it forward."

I couldn't blow off this opportunity to tell my Home Plus business story. I described how I was paying it forward, that I had named my project "Paying it forward to the citizens of Wichita" and my story was aired on KAKE TV on May 27th 2007. Call it fate or luck, but I have a gut feeling that something could come of this. Who knows, but I have all of the bases covered for what Oprah is seeking. What are the chances of someone submitting a reply to Oprah who has named their project "Paying it forward" & has had their story aired on TV? As I always say, "Nothing ventured .. Nothing gained."

I will be praying that Oprah's staff will consider presenting my story to Oprah. Just imagine what possibilities could come from having Oprah in "OUR" corner in seeking a cure!! I wish "ALL" PALS & CALS will email Oprah and ask her to consider airing my story and increasing the awareness of ALS. In my opinion (IMO) "WE" may never have an opportunity to get this close to a person who could make a difference in "OUR" lives.

Perhaps I'm asking too much from PALS & CALS. IMO we have we have nothing to lose. We need to all stand together to be noticed. We are 120,000 people living in a world of approximately 6.5 billion.

The first Oprah email address is her general story & comment address. The second is her "paying it forward" address. Can you please email everyone in your internet address book and ask them to email Oprah? Please ask them if they will get involved in raising the awareness of ALS. I am NOT seeking glory so please do not think for a second I am. I simply feel we can make a difference if we ALL stand and work together.
