Lightbulb ALES OVER ALS: A CRAFTER'S DELIGHT: 3-8pm Oct 22, Shipbuilding Museum (Essex, MA)

ALES OVER ALS: A CRAFTER'S DELIGHT: 3 to 8 p.m. Oct 22, Essex Shipbuilding Museum, 66 Main St., Essex.

Ales Over ALS: A Crafter's Delight is a celebration of all things locally crafted from farm, sea and brew kettle -- in honor of Mark Tesscini and supporting people living with ALS (also known as Lou Gehrig's disease). All proceeds from this fundraising event will go directly to the Compassionate Care ALS (CCALS) - Leading a New Vision in ALS Care Since 1998. The afternoon will be highlighted by a homebrewing competition set in the historic Essex Shipbuilding Museum. The event will feature hand-crafted beers from amateur home brewers that will be judged by special guests as well as by fundraiser attendees. Food will be provided by Woodman’s of Essex, Iggy’s Bread and by other local supporters. Fresh, locally-brewed beer will be supplied by local brewers.
