Lightbulb from Dan Tuohy's Opinion in NH Union Leader, June 28, 2017

. . .

STILL MAKING a difference: Town and city managers, civic leaders, and family and friends of Jessie Levine, who retired as Sullivan County manager earlier this year, sent her off in style last weekend with a party at Mount Sunapee Resort. She was diagnosed with Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis, aka Lou Gehrig’s disease, in 2015. She committed to working as long as she could. Levine previously worked in Bedford, Newbury, and New London. She was recognized in the Union Leader’s 2010 class of "40 Under Forty" for her leadership. She received the 2016 Public Service Award named for the late Executive Councilor Raymond S. Burton. We’ve heard that her party raised quite a bit of money for nonprofit Compassionate Care for ALS.
