commented on their efforts to study the use of voice banking in amyotrophic lateral sclerosis patients and presented several cases reflecting successful use of voice banking, including occasions where a patient's artificial voice was clearer than their amyotrophic lateral sclerosis affected voice and adivised to bank early for best quality results. One needs to record about one thousand sentences each about five seconds long for complete 'deposit,' whereafter patients generally reported they were happy with the results. He (and I) expect the technology will improve significant in the future but has accieved usefulness in the present.
