ALS sufferer denied drink at restaurant by staff 'who mistook his illness for drunkenness'

ALS sufferer denied drink at restaurant by staff 'who mistook his illness for drunkenness' | Metro News

I found quite a few patients reporting this problem and wondered whether they should be prepared . . .

Maybe you ought not say it amyotrophic lateral sclerosis . . . they probably don't know what amyotrophic lateral sclerosis is . . . mention the ice bucket challenge, may help but they still likely would not know.

'its not me, its the 250 proof Baileys' (would you like some?) . . .

One patient almost got fired; maybe carry prewritten note.

Other ideas?
