Scientists Create Oligodendrocytes From Stem Cells in Just Three Weeks

Oligodendrocytes are similar to Astrocytes, but they do not connect to blood vessels. They are known to be harmed by the disease processes of Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis. Neurons need energy to survive and the energy might transfer through the Oligodendrocytes to reach other hungry neurons.
