Exclamation The barren fact

DiPALS study survival medians were 28 months (pacer) , 45 months (NIV) . . . normal NIV survival is usually exceeds 36 months . . . thus, the question, 'Why were both results so poor?' remains open. RespiStimALS results were similar to the results used by the United States Food and Drug Administration to approve the treatment in Amyotrophic lateral Sclerosis.

In this report, several studies report NIV results of

"Accordingly, more recent retrospective studies with larger numbers of patients (n = 929, n = 114, n = 140) found survival benefits of 13 months,4 11 months,5 and 15.5 months,6 respectively."

Original finding place NIV at about 7 months.
