Press Release:

Fine artist Mikel Wintermantel, C.M. has donated a painting entitled "David's Path" to be raffled in support of raising funds to pay for the mounting medical expenses of Allegany resident, David Margeson. Margeson was diagnosed with Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS), also known as Lou Gehrig's disease, in June of 2003. The winning ticket will be drawn at a benefit for Margeson on October 6th, 2007 at the Allegany Community Center beginning at noon. Tickets for Wintermantel's painting are $5 per chance and may be purchased at the benefit. The event will also feature live music, food, drink, and many opportunities to help the Margeson family. The 12"x16" painting (20"x24" framed), a casein and alkyd on panel, is valued between $3,600 and $4,000. Interested persons may see the painting and purchase tickets at Studio 4 East (103 Main Street in Allegany) or online at www.mikelwintermantel.com/margeson. 100% of the proceeds will go to benefit David Margeson.
