Lou Gehrig’s Disease Safety Signal With Statins Not Convincing
A joint FDA Nonprescription Drugs and Endocrinologic and Metabolic Drugs Advisory Committee said last week that there was not enough evidence of a potential link between the use of statins and the development of Lou Gehrig’s disease to warrant consideration in an approval decision regarding OTC versions of the drugs.
