Make this room wheelchair-friendly
My living room really needs a makeover. We are virtually living in the 1970s. We had plans to remodel but have not gotten to it. In February, I was diagnosed with ALS (amyotrophic lateral sclerosis, also called Lou Gehrig's disease). The carpet makes it very had to walk with my walker and most of the time I am in a wheelchair, which makes it even harder. Our furniture is also outdated, worn and needs to be replaced. I am unable to get into the living room due to the furniture size. Please take a look and see for yourself. It would be a wonderful thing to have it remodeled with a large-screen HDTV so that I could use it for relaxing. I am unable to work and being at home 24/7 makes having a remodeled living room very important. - Denise McCubbin, Palmetto Enter our contest Would you like to win $10,000 worth of professional decorating help that could transform a drab room into a vibrant space?
