Post President's Holocaust Awareness Breakfast

President's Holocaust Awareness Breakfast
Hi again,

I'm still in D.C. but I wanted to let you all know about a few things going on around campus...

The President's Holocaust Awareness Breakfast is this coming Tuesday, March 18 at 7:30 am in the Raytheon Amphitheater, room 240 of the Egan Research Center. If you are planning on attending, please reply by Thursday, March 13 (tomorrow) to 617-373-7907 or b.purcell@neu.edu and indicate if you would prefer a Kosher meal. The President's Holocaust Awareness Breakfast is an annual event meant to raise awareness of the atrocities that took place during World War II in the hopes to prevent a repeat of such a terrible chapter of history. This year's breakfast will include a special dedication in memory of Walter Lind, former director of purchasing at Northeastern and longtime member of the Holocaust Awareness Committee. The event will include a holocaust music presentation by Professor Joshua Jacobson and a keynote address by Nancy Kindelan, professor of dramatic literature and dramaturgy, and Inez Hedges, Stotsky Professor of Jewish Historical and Cultural Studies and co-director of the cinema studies program.

Panhellenic Council is hosting ALS Awareness Day tomorrow to support Northeastern's Panhellenic Philanthropy, Lou Gehrig's Disease. There will be an ALS Speaker tomorrow from 7-8pm in the CSC Ballroom. The event is free, so come out and support a great cause. All day today, there is an UNO's fundraiser where a portion of your check can be donated to support ALS. Go to Panhellenic Presents: ALS Awareness Day and print off the flyer. Make sure to bring the flyer with you to UNO's to have a portion of your check donated directly to the ALS foundation.

Don't forget! The SGA Presidential Debate is tomorrow night at 7:30pm in the West Addition of the Curry Student Center. Check out your SGA Presidential Candidates and their stance on the issues that matter most to you. The fourth annual SGA Presidential Debate is sponsored by The Northeastern News.

Have a good day, everyone!

Ed
