Thumbs up ALS Registry Vote at 4pm TODAY:Call Your Senators!

ALS Registry Vote at 4pm TODAY:
Call Your Senators!

This afternoon, at 4pm Eastern on July 28, the Senate is expected to hold a critical vote on S. 3297, the Advancing America's Priorities Act, which includes the ALS Registry Act. This is the first of potentially several votes on S. 3297 this week. However, today's vote could determine whether the Senate passes the ALS Registry Act this year!

So it is absolutely critical that everyone in the ALS community calls both of their Senators as soon as possible TODAY. Tell them to vote YES on S. 3297 and let them know that the ALS Registry Act is urgently needed to help us find a treatment and cure. Let them know that a vote against S. 3297 is a vote against people with ALS.

Contact information and talking points you can use are available in the Advocacy Action Center of our website. Simply select the Call Now button of the Featured Alert.

If ALS has limited your ability to use the telephone, please ask a family member, caregiver or friend to call on your behalf.

We want to flood Senate offices with calls from the ALS community. We want them to know we're watching how they vote on this critical issue. We want them to know that they have a clear choice: vote for Senator Tom Coburn who has blocked the ALS Registry Act, or vote for their constituents - the people in the ALS community they represent.

CALL YOUR SENATORS TODAY!

And please forward this Alert to everyone you know!

If you have any questions or would like additional information, please contact the Advocacy Department at advocacy@alsa-national.org or 1-877-444-ALSA.

Thank you
