Hospice Legislation Introduced in the U.S. House
Act Now to Secure Your Representative’s Support!

With the extraordinary efforts of all Hospice Advocates, we have been enormously successful in raising awareness about the devastating effect of the hospice rate cuts on Capitol Hill and in our communities. And, because of these efforts, we now have a bill in the House of Representatives that would put a one-year stop to these cuts. The Medicare Hospice Protection Act, H.R. 6873, was introduced just hours ago by Reps. Chris Van Hollen (D-MD), Jim Ramstad (R-MN), and Maurice Hinchey (D-NY).

With Congress expected to adjourn in a matter of weeks and the phased implementation of the rate cuts scheduled to begin on October 1st, we have only a short time to make sure that every Member of Congress hears our message loud and clear! This is the moment for everyone to speak up and make sure that your representatives in Washington know the value of hospice care, and to ask them to support this crucial legislation.

Take just a few minutes, to take action now by sending a letter to your elected officials. The more they hear from us, the more we are likely to succeed. Tell your colleagues, friends and family to join this critical effort! And please watch your email box for updates about the introduction of the Senate bill!
