Bobby,

The guidelines are only about the posting of links on the forum here- not about links to NeuroTalk at other places.

Our Guidelines here-
http://neurotalk.psychcentral.com/showthread.php?t=1293

If you have any questions please feel free to ask kimmydawn or any moderator.

hey Bobby

I think you may have misunderstood the "rules" and in fact they have been relaxed a lot in terms of posting to other websites and forums to be helpful to members

The only kind of linking that is against "the rules" is to just come here to solicit for other forums, and to post commercial links or inappropriate ones

I had thought that misunderstanding had been cleared up via PMs .....but.....anyways..... you better get busy and go replace all those links you deleted

So to repeat.... DocJohn has explained the linking guideline is to prevent spam style solicitation, not useful links to other places on the web that can benefit the members

Don't fret it Bobby I have done the same thing. I don't always see the changes to the rules here either.

Hi Thelma

it isnt so much a change in the rules as a clarification for the mods as to what is and what isnt ok

Doc has given us clear guidelines on the kinds of links he does not allow and that means that links to other sites and even forums are ok as long as the motive isnt one of solicitation as opposed to informational or networking etc etc

It is really just in place to prevent people from joining for the sole purpose of soliciting members for other forums with which they may be affiliated, and just using NeuroTalk as a harvesting site

This is my fault and I want to apologize to BobbyB, Thelma and Agios. I promised a timed response and didn't get them out. I'm sorry for that. In my own defense, I've been dealing with much in real life with my daughters. They're both dealing with individual crisis.

DocJohn did clarify that posting links is fine. He was clear in his requests there. Posting just about any links are fine, excepting those that spam or are obvious solicitations to another's website.

Please continue to post links to help one another. That's what we care about.

All that said...I'm asking that you remember that the discussion of admin issues be had in PM with mods/admin. That's a guideline that's pretty clear. A PM to me would've cleared this up nicely.

Much respect,

KD
