Hello Ian,
It sounds as if you need to see your doctor.
We can't diagnose people from their messages.
We can offer advice and suggestions, but we don't know what is happening.

If you continue to have difficulty breathing and swallowing like that it's extremely important that you contact your doctor ASAP or if you can't contact your doctor please go to the Emergency Room at your nearest hospital.

If you feel as if it is an emergency please call a friend or relative to take you to hospital.
If you feel it's an emergency and don't have someone there with you, please call 911.

I'm glad you're not having trouble with your breathing, that's for sure.

I can't help with your questions about whether you have ALS though I'm sorry Ian.

Hopefully you'll get more replies.

I was just worried for you as your description of your symptoms sounds quite alarming considering they've only just started 5 weeks ago.

I hope you go see a doctor very soon.

take care there.

Oh that's awful. No wonder you're worried. I hope you get some answers from the Neuro when you see them.

Were you ill with any sort of virus or bacterial infection before you started showing these symptoms?

p.s. you could also post in the New members area or the General Health and Rare Disorders Forum.
Sometimes people check those forums and reply if they have an idea of what might be going on.

I just wondered if you were sick with some sort of illness before these things started going on because it may be connected, although if you've had that many visits to doctors and all those blood tests they probably would have picked up on it.

Some people can have reactions to vaccines too, and some people can get ill from having a Strep infection that's not correctly treated. It doesn't mean you are having that reaction, but it's worth finding out if there's a connection. That's all I meant.
