Default Really worried

I started having a strange sensation of feeling like my legs were going to give out after a bout of headaches. I saw a neuro who did office exam and said try vitamins. Then I got weird surges through arms and legs and little weakness. Neuro ordered brain MRI, bloodwork and emg. I am waiting for EMG this Thursday and then I get all the results so I have nothing yet. In the meantime all symptoms have subsided except now just my left leg feels weak when walking and my calf is achy and twitching. It is 1/4" smaller than my right and shaped differently. I am terrified of this being ALS and have no answers to help guide me to know better or worse. My calf has been twitching about 3 days now. I had some burn and ache in hip and pain down leg but that is better. Just an achy twitching calf.

Does this sound like ALS?

I'm really worried.

I can stand on tip toes. Lunge. Walk. Lift toes. The only things I notice is that my right calf is bigger and more pronounced. I can flex it and feel it flex in ways I can't feel my left calf flex or move.

So scared!!

Don't be scared. I do not have Als but it runs in my family. Wait out the results and yes my left leg is much larger than my right leg and always has been. Take care and let us know how you fare. Thanks for posting. Thelma
