Researchers to Collect Blood, Data
on ALS, Other Motor Neuron Disorders
A new 60-site project to collect and maintain a bank of biological material derived from blood samples, as well as medical data, from people with and without amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS) and other motor neuron disorders, has opened, under the coordination of the ALS Research Group and Columbia University Medical Center in New York.

The study, funded in part by MDA, seeks to understand the causes of ALS and related diseases. All information will be stored anonymously.

For information, contact Kate Bednarz at (212) 305-1677 or kbednarz@neuro.columbia.edu.
