Default Worried about ALS from results

Hi all,

I have had problems now for about 8 months concerning my health, and recently started to have weird sensations in my calf muscles on both legs and tingling in hands, feet, and legs. I also have stiffness in hands, and feet. I feel like when i put pressure on my legs they feel weak, and sometimes i feel strain on them when walking. My doctor recently did a muscle test and told me my numbers were in the 80's but should be in the 100's for my age (25). I have been so scared that ALS is a possibility.

My lymph nodes are swollen and my throat is sore and voice is hoarse. It feels harder to swallow also recently. I know no one here can diagnose, but i wondered if anyone has experienced anything similar? I have to wait until the 21st to see a neuro, and i guess no matter what anyone says will matter if i have it, but i guess i am just coming here to vent. Anyone have thoughts?

Well as it stands now it is not a very good place to vent as there are not very many postingbut go ahead any way there are some still reading, just know you will be read and that can help as well.

At this stage of your beginning to get a prognosis i would tell you that to pick the worst thing first is going to drive you crazy with worry and whatever it will turn out to be it is not worth what you will put yourself through.

Try to relax and yes vent your anxieties and we will try to help.

It isfar too early to think of ALS and those symtoms you mention are too vague to be of value as yet.

Wait for your Neuro appointment and take it one step at a time. If there are any Als meetings going on near you go see what they have to offer. If you are married or have kids or are just old like me ha ha take them to some fun events and by all means RELAX

One thing you have on your side is you have taken your life in your hands very early and that is good and really brave of you.

So you take care of YOU and all else will fall in place.

Best for now and the future with respect for what you are doing Thelma
