Default Banned from ALS/MND

I hope BT is more tolerant than ALSforums.com!!! I got banned from posting over there cuz I didn't agree with 'SuperModerators' Al and David, in spite of that site advertising itself as welcoming "open" discussion. Nothing could be further from the truth, and they ban people regularly. Not a site I would recommend any PALS bothering with. You're far better off either here or over on Patients Like Me.

Sounds like the Canadian forum which is the same old same old idiots that it has entertained in the past when it was connected to ALS Canada.

Wish it would disappear as it makes me ashamed to be Canadian

LOL Bobby!!! That's SO funny! I don't know about SuperMod Al, but I know IdiotSuperMod David is Canadian. Too bad cuz I like Canada, went hunting in Ontario last fall and shot a big whitetail. Had a great time and it's a beautiful country. I took a wonderful pix of a huge waterfall that's now on my wall. Wish I could post it here.

I too was temporarily banned on this site for posting the same information about Glutathione - they accused me of lying and promoting a scam.
All I did was tell my story with strickly the facts and my experience.
I finally got a hold of Al and talked to him for over 2 hours late one night and was finally allowed back on. It was a disillusioning experience and one I am sorry for as this is the Canadian site. As a Canadian I was embarrased - this is not the way Canadians generally treat people!
I also pointed out their purpose statement - did not help and they certainly are not following it.

I quit going there as they are an angry, bitter group - this disease is depressing enough without everyone jamming more depression and bitterness down our throats!

I am a positive person and refuse to let anger and bitterness rule my life - Like everone I have times of frustration with this disease, but I am not dwelling on the negative. Being angry and bitter does not help us - a positive attitude works much better! Being bitter only makes life miserable for everyone around us and is not fair to them, it is not our care givers fault we have ALS so I choose to make their lives as happy as possible.

I am staying alive for a miracle cure to come and making the best of each day!

Stay away from that site - we don't need the bad vibes!

This thread was refreshing. I got banned from alsforums.com a couple weeks ago. Posted 2 threads, the 1st asking about nutrition/detox centers (w/ an example link Brimhall, if anyone here has heard of him - never been there, no affiliation), the 2nd asking about alternative (non-FDA) treatment (i.e. Mexico, China, etc.). One of these got me permanently banned with no explanation. It's nice to know I'm not the only one.
